By Travel With SIG services, you are signifying your agreement with the following terms and conditions, on behalf of yourself and all members of your traveling party.
AGENT FOR SUPPLIERS: Travel with SIG Travel Agency and its independent travel advisors (collectively “we” or “us”) act as sales agents for any airline, hotel, car-rental company, tour operator, cruise line, or other service provider named in your itinerary or confirmation (“Suppliers”). We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of the Suppliers or their failure to adhere to their own schedules, provide services or refunds, financial default, or failure to honor future trip credits. You acknowledge that your travel plans may be interrupted or canceled by the Supplier, a government entity, or other third parties over which we have no control. You further acknowledge that the Supplier's own cancellation, rebooking, and refund policies, subject to any applicable law that is now or may later be in effect, will govern your rights and remedies, including your right to receive a refund. We have no special knowledge regarding the financial condition of the Suppliers and no liability for recommending a trip credit in lieu of a refund.
IMPORTANT CONDITIONS: Prices are subject to increase prior to the time you make the full initial deposit due. Prices are not subject to increase after you make full a full deposit before the deposit due date on the invoice, except in the case of supplier imposed adjustments (i.e., an increase in a port's fees, etc.). Prices are subject to increase by the supplier if the deposit is not applied by the deposit due date and a new stateroom has to be secured. By signing below, you expressly acknowledge and accept these conditions.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS: Travel documents include, without limitation, airline tickets, hotel vouchers, tour vouchers, or any other document (whether in electronic form or otherwise) used to confirm an arrangement with a service provider. Travel documents may be subject to certain conditions and/or restrictions such as, but not limited to, being non-refundable, non-date-changeable, and subject to cancellation and/or amendment fees. Travel documents cannot be transferred to another person to use. All airline tickets must be issued in the name of the passport/photo identity holder. An incorrect name on a booking may result in an inability to use that booking and the booking being canceled. Any errors in names, dates, and timings may result in an inability to use that booking and the booking being canceled. Any errors in names, dates, and timings on your documentation will be your responsibility if we are not advised at the time of booking. Please reconfirm your flights at least 24 hours prior to departure.
REAL ID: Beginning May 3, 2023, if you plan to use your state-issued ID or license to fly within the U.S., it is your responsibility to make sure it is REAL ID compliant. If you are not sure if your ID complies, please check with our local state department of motor vehicles, or visit www.tsa.gov/real-id.
PASSPORTS: All individuals departing from the United States of America by air (or with certain cruise suppliers) must be in possession of a valid passport. Please check that your passport is valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended travel time. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have valid travel documentation, including but not limited to passports and visas, which meet the requirements of immigration and other government authorities at every destination. You are responsible for confirming with the United States Department of State or the representative government agency of the country to which you are traveling to confirm the requirements for visas and/or other requirements for admission to your destination. Any fines, penalties, payments, or expenditures incurred as a result of such documents not meeting the requirements of those authorities will be your sole responsibility.
E-TICKETS: E-tickets expire a year from the issue date unless carrier fare rules in the passenger’s itinerary fare provide otherwise.
FLIGHT CONFIRMATION: We strongly suggest that clients reconfirm exact flight times with the carrier prior to departure. Air travelers are required to check in at least 2 hours prior to departure time for domestic flights and 3 hours for international flights and must report to the gate at least 30 minutes prior to departure time. Failure to comply may result in the loss of the seat to another passenger.
INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS: Some countries require insecticide spraying of aircraft prior to a flight or while you are on the aircraft. Federal law requires that we refer you to the Department of Transport disinfection website. (www.transportation.gov/airconsumer/spray).
HEALTH AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: It is your responsibility to ensure you are aware of any health requirements, health advisories, or health travel restrictions applicable to your travel destinations and to ensure that you carry all necessary vaccination documentation. Travel with SIG is not responsible for providing you with this information. Travel carriers and local authorities at travel destinations may require specific testing prior to boarding and/or upon arrival at your destination, including, but not limited to, a temperature check as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. You may be denied entry onto your carrier and/or entry upon arrival at your destination, or be required to self-quarantine at your destination and upon your return to the United States. You must comply with local government regulations. Additional costs are your responsibility. Check with the Center for Disease Control and Prevention for current information prior to and during your travel. www.cdc.gov.
RISKS OF TRAVEL: We assume no responsibility for and shall not be liable for the acts or omissions on the part of any other party not under our control or any acts of God, unsafe conditions, terrorism, health hazards including pandemics, illness, weather hazards, or the suitability for a disabled person of any portion of any trip. For information related to such dangers, we recommend going to the State Department travel website at www.travel.state.gov, click on "Find International travel Information” then click on "Country Information", and fill in the name of the destination country. For medical and health information, we recommend going to the Centers for Disease Control website at www.cdc.gov/travel, then click on “Destinations” and scroll to the name of the destination country. For destination information specific to COVID-19, we recommend visiting IATA's COVID-tracking site in addition to the State Department site. It is your personal decision to travel, and you are doing so with full knowledge of current travel recommendations and travel restrictions with regards to the risks of COVID-19. Ultimately it is your responsibility to understand and abide by all requirements and restrictions when traveling. This may include the following: health affidavit forms; health screenings prior to departure and/or upon arrival; temperature screenings prior to departure and/or upon arrival; travel reason affidavit forms; online travel authorizations; airline safety & health requirements, such as health forms, screenings, face coverings; in-country requirements, such as periodic temperature checks, quarantine, face coverings; visas. Failure to meet the requirements and/or restrictions puts you at risk for fines, quarantine or deportation at your expense.
TRAVEL PROTECTION: For your protection, we strongly recommend that you purchase trip cancellation and travel accident insurance. However, no representation or description of the insurance made by Travel with SIG to you constitutes a binding assurance or promise about the insurance. Travel with SIG is not an insurance company and has no responsibility for the submission, payment, or adjustment of any insurance claims. Any insurance claims that may fall under the relevant travel insurance policy must be submitted to the insurance company identified in the policy.
PAYMENTS AND CANCELLATIONS: Final payment is due prior to departure or consumption according to each supplier’s (airline, hotel, cruise line, transfer company, sightseeing operators, and other travel service vendors) terms and conditions involved in your travel booking. If final and full payment is not received by the applicable due date, reservations are subject to cancellation and deposits shall be forfeited. In some cases, there is NO REFUND once a booking is made and paid for. Your right to a refund if you change or cancel your travel plans is limited. All cancellation requests must be sent to Travel with SIG in writing. As a result of cancellation, Travel with SIG’s and third-party supplier’s cancellation penalties will apply, which are detailed in your travel documentation and each supplier’s Web sites. Cancellation penalties are advised at time of booking and provided to you upon confirmation. If you have any questions, or any penalties are unclear, please contact your Travel with SIG agent. All cancellation fees will be charged to the credit card you authorized to pay for travel services, or deducted from the supplier’s refund.
CHANGE FEES: Once a travel booking has been confirmed and deposit(s) and/or full payment received, Suppliers may require a non-refundable change fee ("Change Fee") for changes made at your request for each adult travel booking changed (name, room, dates).
CREDIT CARD TRANSACTIONS: If for any reason, any travel service provider is unable to provide the services for which you have contracted, your remedy lies against the provider, and not against Travel with SIG, and in the event that payment has been made to Travel with SIG by credit card, you agree that you will not seek to charge back your payment to Travel with SIG. If the credit card is passed through to the travel service provider and you seek to chargeback your payment from the provider, you agree to be held liable and indemnify Travel with SIG against this chargeback from the provider, including without limitation any air debit memos charged to Travel with SIG. If Travel with SIG incurs any costs, including but not limited to attorneys’ fees to recover any payments charged back by your credit card company, you agree that you will be liable for these costs. If the credit card is declined, you guarantee that you will settle any amounts owing to Travel with SIG via money order or cash immediately.
ADDITIONAL FEES: Additional taxes and surcharges that cannot be pre-collected may be charged locally by car rental agencies, hotels or other suppliers. Most properties and vehicle rental/leasing companies require a credit card imprint at check-in.
REFUSAL OF SERVICE: Service providers reserve the right to refuse service to travelers at their sole discretion, including, without limitation, if the traveler: (i) Lacks proper documentation for the country of destination; (ii) Has a contagious disease; (iii) Is under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or narcotics; and/or (iv) Manifests disruptive and/or unruly behavior. Travel with SIG assumes no liability for the acts of the service provider in refusing service.
RESPONSIBILITY: We always do our best to make sure your travel arrangements are satisfactory. However, Travel with SIG and its employees, shareholders, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, successors, agents, and assigns do not own or operate any entity that provides goods and services for your travel, including without limitation lodging facilities, airline, vessel, motor coach, or other transportation companies, guides or guide services, local ground operators, providers, or organizers of optional excursions, food service providers, etc. All such persons and entities are independent contractors and are in no way affiliated to Travel with SIG or any of Travel with SIG's affiliated entities.
LIABILITY: Travel with SIG is not liable for any negligent or willful act or failure to act of any travel service provider or of any third party. In addition and without limitation, Travel with SIG is not responsible for any injury, loss, death, inconvenience, delay, or damage to person or property in connection with the provision of any goods or services, whether resulting from, but not limited to, acts of God or force majeure, illness, disease, acts of war or civil unrest, insurrection or revolt, animals, strikes or other labor activities, criminal or terrorist activities of any kind, overbooking or downgrading of accommodations, mechanical or other failure of airplanes or other means of transportation, or any failure of any transportation mechanism to arrive or depart on time. Also be advised that certain foreign facilities or amenities, such as air-conditioning systems in public places, hotels, and motor coaches may not be up to U.S. standards. If due to weather, flight schedules, or other uncontrollable factors you are required to spend additional night(s), you will be responsible for your own hotel, transfers, and meal costs. Baggage is entirely at owner's risk. You specifically agree that Travel with SIG is not liable for any consequential loss or damage. THE PURCHASE OF TRAVEL INSURANCE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ON ALL TRIPS.
SUPPLIER BANKRUPTCIES: If an airline or other Supplier declares bankruptcy, it is not obligated to honor your reservation made before bankruptcy or to refund tickets issued before the bankruptcy. Travel agents are not allowed to refund tickets on airlines which have declared bankruptcy. Money given to a travel agent immediately becomes the property of the airlines, and we are required by laws to comply with airlines' orders.
If an airline declares bankruptcy, it might continue service, limit service, or stop completely. Other airlines might accept passengers under limited circumstances or may refuse to accept any passengers from the defaulted carrier. Meanwhile there are fine travel insurance plans available for passengers to protect themselves in case of airline bankruptcies.
